Tanya began her career as a lawyer, litigating for one of the top Indian law firms for three years. Since then, she has worked in the development sector for over ten years, on issues spanning social entrepreneurship, good governance, women & children’s rights, education and poverty alleviation. She spent around eight years with Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, India, where she led the Fellowship Programme. This involved seeding and managing collaborations amongst Fellows, identifying patterns of need emerging from the Fellows and creating suitable resources in response, mentorship on strategy, scale and partnerships for Fellows, etc. More recently, Tanya has worked with a livelihood focused impact investor, Upaya Social Ventures, where she led strategy, partnerships and operations. Tanya’s areas of skill are strategy, innovation, collaborations and enterprise development.
